Valfrihetswebben is Sweden’s national website for the provision of services according to the Act on System of Choice in the Public Sector – (LOV) lagen (2008: 962) om valfrihetssystem. For all Swedish county councils and municipalities that have introduced a system of choice in health care or social services, it is mandatory to advertise on Valfrihetswebben.
All ads in one place
Since all the advertising authorities' procurement documents are available on Valfrihetswebben, it is the obvious gateway for those service providers who want to deliver services within a system of choice.
Simplifies for authorities and the public
Valfrihetswebben simplifies information retrieval and experience exchange between authorities considering or wanting to introduce a system of choice. The website also enables easy access to the procurement documents so that the public may monitor their civic interests.
The National Agency for Public Procurement – Upphandlingsmyndigheten – is responsible for the website. The agency’s mission is to develop and operate Valfrihetswebben so that it meets the need for easily accessible, searchable, and free information about services advertised within the system(s) of choice.
